Dr. Nicola Ferralis is a Research Scientist in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT and Program Manager for the MIT Energy Initiative Low Energy Carbon Center on Energy Storage. A lot of his work is on technologies related to energy. He will be speaking with us about the opportunities to use coal in far better ways than burning it for fuel as well as environmental issues related to the mining of coal.
