I’m thrilled the judges showed such confidence in my efforts.” Planet Philadelphia was inspired by not only Kay’s concern about what we are doing to our one and only home planet, but also by the many wonderful people here in the Delaware Valley who are working so hard to make our world a better place. Wood does everything for the show – the research, finding the stories and people to interview, recording and editing the interviews, selecting the environmental news to report, music, and activity announcements to make it as engaging as possible. She wants Planet Philadelphia to be a place where people know they have an entertaining platform to learn and share their own views about our environment. This is the third grant this year Planet Philadelphia radio show has garnered. Wood won a Pollination Project grant early in 2016 and in the Spring the Peace and Social Concerns Committee of the Chestnut Hill Quaker Meeting awarded G-Town Radio a grant in support of Planet Philadelphia.
