Planet Philadelphia environmental radio show, G-Town Radio 12/2/16: Hear about a station that makes hydrogen from water and Philly’s vision for sustainability in our new political world.

In this Planet Philadelphia radio show you’ll hear Sunita Satyapal, the Director of the Fuel Cell Technologies office at the US Department of Energy, tell us about exciting new developments in hydrogen energy technology. Also, on this Planet Philadelphia, Christine Knapp, the Director of Philadelphia's Sustainability Office will tell us about the new approach to sustainability that offers ways for all Philadelphians to take part in our sustainable future.

A brand new Planet Philadelphia is coming up this Friday January 15th at 4:00 pm on wonderful Gtown radio – the sound of Germantown, http://www.gtownradio.com/.

Planet Philadelphia host, Kay Wood speaks with three exciting guests, starting off with two scientists at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University; Dr. Stefanie Kroll, a director of the Delaware River Watershed Initiative, talks about the ambitious multi-group initiative that was kickstarted with a $35 million commitment by the William Penn Foundation. She is followed up by Lin B. Perez, a GeoSpatial Scientist with the BioGeoInformatics Group at the Academy. She is also a landscape architect and tells us about a number of important things we can do ourselves here in NW Philly to help with water management.

Latter on in the show we’ll hear Professor Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor in the School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, about a new energy system combining solar and hydrogen production that's getting a lot of attention, "Hyricity."
