This Friday’s Planet Philadelphia: Feminism and our rapidly changing environment, 4-5 pm Friday, 6/7/19, on WGGT-LP 92.9 FM and gtownradio.com

6/3/2019

How are feminism and our
rapidly changing environment connected?

In general public discussion on climate change does not include feminism. However, there are a lot of important feminist issues entwined with climate change and other environmental issues. How can women work, care for their families and survive? What are some of the crucial roles women play and issues they face in relationship to our environment? The climate crisis is upon us and so are growing attacks here in the US on women's access to abortion and other attempts to restrict women from being able to control their own bodies and fertility. Women are also struggling to get into the male dominated energy field. How are they working to change the current gender bias in our clean energy industries?

Tune in to Planet Philadelphia 4-5 pm Friday 6/7/19 on WGGT-LP 92.9 FM Germantown Community Radio and streaming at gtownradio.com to hear all this and more.
